Herbarium
The artist often engages with nature and the interaction between humans and the environment in her practice. The piece "Herbarium" represents a personal interpretation of the processes occurring during an ecological crisis. On one hand, the herbarium is a form of recycling, giving new life to plastic, a synthetic material that pollutes the environment. On the other hand, it raises the question of whether such a future awaits us. If, in 2017, researchers found plastic fibers in 83% of water samples worldwide, perhaps by 2027 we will be collecting herbarium specimens made of plastic particles rather than plants and trees.
This work is an experiment, a frozen infinity.
